Hungary Demonstrate Interest to Azerbaijani Wastes Processing Sphere

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev expressed will to consider possibility of cooperation with Hungarian companies to process wastes, the Hungarian Economic Transport Development Minister Yanosh Coca said.

According to Babayev, Azerbaijani Government has already signed an agreement with Korean companies in the sphere, which developed the technical-economic base. Azerbaijan holds negotiations with French and Austrian companies.

The Azerbaijani Minister considers there are many other spheres besides oil sector for cooperation like energy and pharmaceutical sphere, petrochemical and food.

The Hungarian Minister expressed readiness to render assistance to expand the economic relations between the countries. Business-forums play an important role in this direction. The first Azerbaijani-Hungarian business-forum was implemented by the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promoting Fund (AZPROMO) in Budapest in 2005.

The trade turnover between the both countries stood at $10.4mln in 2006 and - $9.3mln for nine months of 2007.
