Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The volume of poultry has decreased in specialized markets of Azerbaijan due to the increase in prices of forage imported by large poultry enterprises, Aydin Valiyev, Chairman of the Republic Poultry Community, reported on 26 November.
"Companies have decreased their volume of production which has caused a decrease in the volume of production in markets," Valiyev said.
Before around 20 or 25 tons of poultry was delivered to markets, but today the figure constituted around 10 tons. About 400 tons of poultry and 8mln of eggs were sold in specialized markets. The poultry markets have been in business in Baku from December 2006.
The Poultry Community unites 28 enterprises, Hovsan Broyler, Mardakan Broyler, Siyazan Broyler, Devechi Broyler and others.
