Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Ramazanova / Social allowances for invalids in Azerbaijan will increase by 30-50% in 2008, the Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection Minister Fizuli Alakbarov said to journalists on 29 November.
"By the end of the year invalids will receive 1,162 apartments and over 400 cars," he said.
According to Alakbarov, a new sports complex has been constructed in Sumgayit and it will be put into operation in spring.
The Ministry is developing proposals for construction sector in order to enable invalids to use apartments and public places with great comfort, he said.
