( Worldcarfans ) - As if the Porsche Carrera GT wasn't exclusive or fast enough, German tuner edo competition has taken one of these rare supercars into its workshop and managed to extract upto 770 hp from the 5.5 liter V10.
Edo Competition offers the Carrera GT in three power levels, 670, 715 and 770 hp (factory spec is 612hp). These increases are thanks to a modified intake system, recalibrated engine controls, high flow air filters, new header catalytic converters and a performance exhaust system with programmable butterfly-valve control. The cat-back exhaust system alone increases power by 25hp, weighs 18kg less than the factory fitted exhaust.
Other enhancements include a carbon fibre rear wing, on which the center portion of the Gurney Flap raises along with he retractable rear wing for more downforce. The suspension consists of 3-way adjustable shock absorbers and sport suspension system.The 18 inch forged 5-spoke wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
