Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Production of grain-crops made up 2,004tons in Azerbaijan to 1 December, reported the Azerbaijani State Statistic Committee.
Some 1,846tons fell on grain and 157,900tons fell on corn.
The average grain harvest per one hectare increased by 26.2% and corn - by 46.1% in 2007 as compared to 2006.
Grain production increased in different regions of Azerbaijan.
Some 127,300 tons were collected in Jalilabad, 118,300tons in Shaki, 88,500tons in Shamkir, 84,700 tons in Sabirabad, 80,000tons in Agsu, 75,700tons in Nefchala, 66,900tons in Saatli, 62,700tons in Khachmaz, 60,300tons in Ismayilli and 60,100tons in Bilasuvar.
The volume of grain made up 2.7mln tons in Azerbaijan in 2006. The country's demand in grain amount to 3mln tons per year.
