Cadillac Provoq Concept Revealed at CES Las Vegas

( Worldcarfans ) - Today at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, Cadillac will be showing their latest concept vehicle called the Cadillac Provoq Concept. Today GM will begin showcasing its future performance technology and design which will continue at next week's 2008 NAIAS in Detroit.

The Cadillac Provoq Concept has the new SUV Coupe exterior, just like the BMW X6, Land Rover LRX Concept and probably the Hummer HX Concept, and can comfortably seat 5 passengers. The underpinnings is what sets the Provoq apart from the SUV Coupe crowd at Detroit though.

The Provoq is the third vehicle featuring GM's new E-Flex Powertrain (following the Chevy Volt and Opel Flextreme) and can therefore run on electric power (approximately 20 miles) and CNG natural gas (another 280 miles). The Provoq requires no petroleum based fuels and is therefor about as 'green' as cars come these days.

Whether Cadillac has more in store for us in regards to the Provoq Concept at next week's NAIAS show is uncertain, but they do have the world premiere of the high performance Cadillac CTS-V prepared. Stay tuned for further info on the Provoq when it becomes available.
