Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 January / corr. Trend U. Ismaylova/ The price of building materials in Baku went up by 16.8% in 2007 compared to 2006, the Participants of the Real Estate Market public union said.
The public union carried out monitoring of 86 types of building materials of 41 named products. There was a price rise in all 41 named products.
According to thee summary, the rise in price of building materials is basically attributed to the price rise in energy recourses at the beginning of last year, the price rise in imported building materials, the level of inflation, and the rise in demand for owner-occupied dwellings.
