Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijani Government is planning to complete small privatizations in 2008, Karam Hasanov, the chairman of the State Committee on State Property Management, said.
About 2,150 small state enterprises and premises were privatized including 670 land plots in Azerbaijan in 2007.
The State shares in small enterprises which remained from 2007, are used to accelerate small privatizations within the framework of the State Privatization Program of State Property.
According to Hasanov, transmission of state property for rent is part of the small privatization. About 1,350 units of state property were transmitted to juridical and the public for rent. As a result of small privatization AZN 3.1mln was given to the state budget.
State Committee holds such work permanently. Warnings to pay debts were sent about 1,400 lease holders. Lawsuits were brought against 700 debtors in 2007.
