Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January / Trend corr S. Babayeva / Ogtay Shiraliyev, the Azerbaijani Health Minister, signed a decree on cancellation of the chargeable medical services at the state medical enterprises, the Ministry reported on 17 January.
"Several state hospitals sometimes offered chargeable services. Now, it has been officially cancelled," a source at the Ministry said.
According to the decree, 1 February onwards, all the hospitals financed through the public budget shall offer only the free services to all the patients.
There are some 1,500 ambulatory outpatient departments and 700 hospitals, financed with the public budget.
