AzRosPromInvest Presents its Products to Russian Market

Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Presentation of the products of the Azerbaijani-Russian AzRosPromInvest (AzRPI) took place at the Volskiy Automobile Plant on 17 January.

AzRPI plans to expand its markets to supply activated bentonitic clay produced at the Dash Salakhli field in the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan, the chair of the Border of Directors of AzRPI Natig Shirinzade said. By the second half of the year the company will be ready to produce bentonitic powder which is in high demand in foreign markets.

According to Shirinzade, the same arrangements were held at the Mikhaylovski, Lebedinski, and Belgradski ore mining and processing enterprises.

"The final products of AzRPI may be in the demand at metallurgical ore mining and processing enterprises, and the bentonitic clay may be an intermediate raw material for foundry (manufacturing of automobiles, tractors), Shirinzade said.

Presently, the products are supplied to the Minsk Tractor Producing Plant, as Azerbaijani products are in high demand in Belarus, while in Azerbaijan it can be used in oil projects. In 2007, 58,000 tons of products were manufactured at the enterprise, with 30,000 tons of them already sold.

Shirinzade believes that the Azerbaijani products will be in the Eurasian market as soon as 2008 and in the European markets in 2010. There is a demand for bentonitic powder in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Middle East countries.

The founders of AzRPI are Bentonite scientific and production association ( Russia) and Dash Salakhli Bentonite JSC ( Azerbaijan). Reserves in the Dash Salakhli field make up 83mln tons.
