( dpa ) - The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) continued its rise at the beginning of the week.
According to the Vienna-based OPEC Secretariat Tuesday, OPEC's daily basket price, calculated from twelve important brands produced by the cartel, stood at 87.18 dollars a barrel ( 159 litres) on Monday, compared with 87.05 dollars the previous Friday.
OPEC is expected to maintain output levels at its upcoming meeting in Vienna on Friday, despite calls by Western nations to increase production quotas.
