( dpa ) - Colgate-Palmolive said Thursday profits increased 3 per cent in the final quarter of 2007 on strong international sales and cost-cutting measures.
The US manufacturer of dental care products, cosmetics and cleaning products said profits were 415 million dollars, or 77 cents per share. Sales grew by 14 per cent to 3.6 billion dollars.
Excluding one-time writeoffs, quarterly profits increased nearly 15 per cent.
For the year, the company saw profits increase nearly 30 per cent to 1.7 billion dollars and revenues climb 13 per cent to 12.2 bilion dollars.
