Azerbaijan, Baku 1 February / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / In 2007, the number of profitable banks in Azerbaijan increased from 30 to 40, the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) reported.
Total revenue of ban systems increased in two times and comprises AZN 132.77mln as compared to 1 January 2007. The index decreased by 13.8% as for 1 December 2007.
The number of unprofitable banks decreased from 13 in 2006 and 5 in 2007. The loss of the banks made up AZN 3.65mln which is less by 3 times as compared to 2007.
