Aliyev/ The Baku-based official representations of the Toyota, Mercedes, Opel, Nissan companies are negotiating with the Bakisarnishinnagliyyat (Baku Passenger Transport Department at the Transport Ministry) on using the companies' cars as taxi, the head of the Department Jeyhun Abdullayev said on 26 February.
"The final decision will be made after it is revealed whether it is profitable to use the cars," Abdullayev said.
According to Abdullayev, presently, Baku needs some 5,000 new taxis.
