Azerbaijan’s Parliament Ratifies Credit for Development of Air Traffic Management System at Two Airports

Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 April / Trend / The Azerbaijani Parliament has approved of the financial protocol between the Governments of Azerbaijan and France on allocation of a credit by France's state-run Natexis Banques Populaires for purchase of the equipment for air traffic management at the airports of Nakhchivan and Ganja cities.

The credit (€14.88mln) is allocated for 21 years (first 7 years are privileged) at 1.5% interest rate. The main part of the credit will be paid off through 28 payments- half yearly each.

The Nakhchivan Airport located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan was put into operation in 2004 after its reconstruction. The Ganja Airport located in the western region of Azerbaijan was also reconstructed and put into operation in 2006. Both the airports are international.
