Azerbaijani-Jordan Business Forum and National Exhibition Postponed

Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 April / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijani-Jordan business forum and national exhibition, scheduled for 4 April in Baku as proposed by Jordan, has been postponed for 6 April, the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promoting Fund (AZPROMO) reported. The events were planned on same day along with the opening of Baku-Aman flight.

According to the order of Jordan King Abdulla II ben Huseyn, the delegation will join representatives of five or six biggest companies, who will tour to establish relationships with the businessmen in Azerbaijan.

The first Azerbaijani-Jordan business-forum and Jordan national exhibition were held in Baku within the framework of visit of Marouf Al Bakhit, Jordan Prime Minister, to Azerbaijan in November. Bakhit's delegation united 30 companies engaged in the construction, chemistry, food industry, and health and agriculture spheres.

As for 2007, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Jordan made up $1,291,8. In January 2008, Jordan goods, worth $19,900, were imported in the country, but nothing was exported.
