Kazakhstan Senate Ratified UN Shipping Convention

Kazakhstan, Astana / Trend corr. K.Konirova / On 10 April, the Senate of Kazakhstan Parliemant ratified the UN Shipping Convention of 1978, a special correspondent of Trend reported from Astana.

The Hamburg regulation was signed by 29 different countries. The statute of Convention is applied to all the agreements of shipping among the countries, independent from national origin of ship, transporter, shipper or any other interested individuals.

Kazakhsta, after joining the 11 shipping conventions, became a member of the International Marine Organization. Development of tradeturnover in the Caspian region needs regulation of relations in the sphere of international shipping and creation of a legal field to protect the interest of shippers.

Ratification of the document provides single legal regime in Kazakhstan together with other foreign states.
