Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 April / Trend / The Palmali group of companies has purchased two up-to-date ice ships, Palmali reported on 11 April.
The Bozdag (formerly Saratov) and Ginaldag (formerly Usinsk) ships, with the deadweight up to 19,800 tons, were purchased from LUKOIL company for $70mln and were included into the Palmali fleet.
The ships were constructed in 2002 in St. Petersburg. They are equipped with unique facilities, such as bow submersible outfit which enables the tanker to implement shipping both in the port and in floating shipping hub.
The ships can safely flow in the northern seas in difficult conditions, where oil tankers cannot be used.
