Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 April / Trend / In March 2008, the production prices for agricultural products increased by 2.6% as compared to the previous month and by 8.8% as compared to March 2007.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee, in March, the index of prices for plant products and gardening products comprised 99.5% as compared to Feb. The prices for fruits and filbert dropped by 1.9%, but the prices for vegetables and gardening products rose by 0.9%.
The price index of cattle products made up 104.3% as compared to the previous month. The prices for cattle and cattle products increased by 11.7%, for poultry and eggs by 0.2% and for sheep by 5.4%. The prices for hunting products and fish remained unchanged.
