Lithuanian Premier’s Azerbaijan Visit Program Divulged

Azerbaijan, Baku, 19 April / corr. Trend K. Ramazanova/ Gedimanas Kirkilas, the Lithuanian Premier will visit Azerbaijan on 21 April. During the visit the Premier will be accompanied with government members of Lithuania, and businessmen, Kestitus Kudzmanas, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan said to Trend on 19 April.

The trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, economic and transport projects on international and regional level and energy cooperation will be discussed during the visit, said Ambassador.

On first day of his visit the Premier is expected to meet with President Ilham Aliyev, Premier Artur Rasizade and minister of transport Ziya Mammadov, he said.

According to Kudzmanas, an agreement on economic cooperation, establishment of inter-government commission between Azerbaijan and Lithuania and integration of transportation is expected to be signed as a result of the meeting between Lithuanian Premier and Azerbaijani minister of transport.

On the second day of visit, busines forum with the participation of business circles from both countries will be held in Baku.

Lithuania suggests Azerbaijan state of art technology, electrical engineering, and industrial products, the system for management of production processes and cash machines. According to Ambassador, the Lithuanian banks are interested in working in Azerbaijani market. The country is also interested in importing Azerbaijani petrochemical products, technical oil and other products. Lithuania as an EU member state, whose industry is based on export, can share its experience with Azerbaijan.
