Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 April / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / BP Azerbaijan has increased the volume of casing-head gas supply from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field to the Azerbaijani gas transporting system. At present, the company delivers 4.5mln cu m of gas per day against the planned 3.9mln cu m.
In 2008, BP is planing to supply 1.5bln cu m of gas to the gas transporting system of Azerbaijan. The figure made up 2.4bln cu m of gas against the planned 1.4mln cu m in 2007.
Casing-head gas is produced from the patform, located in central, western and eastern parts of Azeri field, and is supplied via 28 inch under water gas pipeline to the Sangachal terminal and to distributional network of Azerigas CJSC, for further use in the local market.
Part of casing-head gas, produced in the platform Chirag, is directed to the compressor station of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) via 16 inch underwater pipeline.
The rest volume of casing-head gas from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field is directed via the interfiled water gas pipeline to the platform for gas compression and water pumping.
