Japanese Economy Minister is Expected to Pay Visit to Astana

Kazakhstan, Astana, 30 April / Trend corr. K.Konirova / Next week, Kanae Yamamoto, Parliamentary Secretary of Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry of Japan, will meet with Bolat Akchulakov, Energy and Mineral Resources Vice Minister of Kazakhstan.

"The agreement on cooperation to use the nuclear energy, negotiations of which are currently ongoing between the Governments of both countries, will provide a strong base for further development of 24 different projects on cooperation in the sphere of peaceful use of nuclear energy," press-release of the ministry stated.

Acording to the press-service, the aforesaid projects will play significant role in establishment of mutual beneficial cooperation and will endow relevant affect on development of atom industry in Kazakhstan, and will also provide a reliable access to the nuclear fuel for Japan.

Kazakhstan states about further improvement of the conditions to protect the economic benefits of the Japanese and Kazakh companies. Japan, in its turn, intends to render the necessary support to Kazakhstan to reach its goals.

Japan purchases and participate in the development of uranium in Kazakhstan.

"Yamamoto's visit to Kazakhstan is expected on 5 May 2008," as stated in the press-release.
