Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 May /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / The Minsk Tractor Plant will ensure the markets and their marketing for sale of the tractors that will be produced in the joint venture in Azerbaijan. The production will be realized in Ganja Car Factory in Azerbaijan, head of the Factory, Khanlar Fatiyev, said on 1 May.
According to Fatiyev, currently Ganja Car Factory is holding talks with the Minsk Plant to establish a JV in Azerbaijan for assembling the tractors. In future, the tractors will be exported to Iran, Turkey, Georgia and possibly south of Russia. The supposed production capacity of the JV is 8-10,000 tractors per year.
At present, the Ganja plant produces six tractor modifications, with the cost varying between AZN 13,000 and AZN 35,000. At the end of November 2006, the contract on assembling and sale of all types of trucks and cars of Minsk automobile plant and Minsk tractor plant in Azerbaijan, was signed with Minsk.
15,000 sq m of the territory is occupied for the assembling purpose. The Ganja plant is capable of assembling 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors per year.
