Turkish Embassy in Kazakhstan to Move from Almaty to Astana in June

Kazakhstan, Astana, 6 May / Trend corr K. Konirova/ In June, the Turkish Embassy in Kazakhstan will move from Almaty to Astana, Turkey's new Ambassador to Kazakhstan Atilla Gunay said to journalists on 5 May.

"We intend to complete the construction of new building in the near future," Gunay said to journalists after submission of his credentials to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"We consider Kazakhstan a fraternal country. In our opinion, Kazakhstan leads not only in the Central Asia, but also in the Eurasian region. We know that any political decision of the country affects the entire region," he said.        

Gunay thanked Kazakh President for support to the initiative on erection of a monument of the Turkish historical figure Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Kazakhstan.
