National Bank of Azerbaijan Permits Two New Banks to Pass First Stage of Registration

Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 May /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) gave permission to two Azerbaijani banks - Nakhchivanbank JSC and CP BANK - to pass the first stage of licensing, the Deputy Chairman of the NBA Board, Rufat Aslanli, said. According to him, the NBA has not received closing appeal from the founders of these banks.

Nakhchivanbank JSC and CP BANK have already been registered by the Ministry of Taxes. Nakhchivanbank will carry out banking activities on the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It is the second regional bank in the country.

Nakhchivanbank was established by seven individuals including a Turkish citizen. The bank is established with AZN 10mln authorized capital. The bank's Supervisory Board includes Khuraman Mirjavadova, Vasif Kazimov and Alidadash Babayev.

CP BANK was registered with an authorized capital totaling AZN 11mln ($13mln). The key founders of the bank are Mayis Mansimov (President of Palmali Group), Marif Mansimov and Palmali gemi Hizmetleri ve Acentelik LTD, and Aziz Teksoy was appointed as an authorized representative. The issues of the bank are 10,000 shares. The bank is located in Baku, Nasimi District.
