General Motors Intends to Increase Volume of Sales in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 May /corr. Trend E.Ismaylov / The General Motors Company would like to increase the volume of sale in Azerbaijani market up to 12-20% of the gross volume of the market, said the General Motors Executive Director on Sales, Marketing and Post-Marketing in Central and Eastern Europe, Kris Lasey. The Company would like to sign large contracts in Azerbaijan and expand its dealer network. "Azerbaijan is very important and rapidly developing country," Lasey said.
In Central and Eastern Europe the growth rates of the car market makes up 30% per year, while the volume of sale of General Motors in this market increases by 50% per year. In this region, including Russia, the share of General Motors equals 10% whereas the figure made up only 3% five years ago, Lasey said.
To cover the demands of consumers, General Motors opened its manufacturing centers in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Each brand of General Motors has its own clients and as per the wish of these clients, the company develops its strategy together with brands.
