Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 June / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / An Azerbaijani-Czech business-forum will be held in Baku on 4 July within the framework of the tour of Karel Schwarzenberg, the Czech Foreign Minister, to the Southern Caucasus countries, the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) said on 30 June.
The tour of the Czech Minister will be from 1 to 7 July.
The forum will come as the first meeting of the Azerbaijani and Czech businessmen and possible contracts between them will be known after business-forum. The Czech delegation will include companies, specialized in tourism, construction, engineering, power engineering (hydro-electric energy etc.), finance sector (the Czech Eximbank, the Czech-Slavic bank).
A list of the Azerbaijani companies, willing to participate in the work of business forum, is still being compiled, and 20 companies displayed an interest to participate in this forum.
Foreign-trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Cz ech Republic amounted to $6,686,400, including $6,684,900 in the amount of import operations and $1,500 in the amount of the Azerbaijani export, during the first quarter of 2008.
The current exchange rate of US dollar is AZN 0.8116 on 30 June.
