Azerbaijan, Gazakh, 1 July / corr. Trend N.Fatullayeva / The highest bridge in Caucasus is being built in Azerbaijan's district of Tovuz, Aydin Mammadov, chief engineer of the Road Exploitation Department of Tovuz District, said on 1 July.
A total of AZN 1mln was allocated for the construction of the bridge, which is in 35m height, 360m length and 9m width.
ammadov said that a new circular road was constructed for security of the district residences and to intensify the movements of transit cars at outskirts of Tovuz.
It is planned to build one main bridge and three junctions on this 10km road. The chief engineer stated that construction work would be completed till the end of 2008.
