Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 July / Trend corr. S.Bbayeva / As for 21 July, the harvest of autumn and spring cereals reached 2.1mln ton from 776,800 hectare sown area, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry reported.
Grain production has increased by 460,200 tons in 2008 against 2007. The crop capacity made up 27.6 centners per each hectare or 0.9% more compared to 2007.
According to the Ministry, the harvest of grains is continued in mountain regions.
The Ministry forecast grain production 2,3mln tons in 2008.
