Trend S.Babayeva / The production of the cereal and grain- bean crops of the autumnal sowing of 2007 and spring sowings of 2008 will be record in Azerbaijan, the Agriculture Minister of Azerbaijan, Ismet Abbasov, said on 22 August. According to him, the gross production is forecasted in the volume of 3.5mln tons, of which 2.3mln tons will be grain and 1.3mln tons food wheat.
Abbasov said that the annual need for the food grain in Azerbaijan is nearly 1.6mln tons. "In the future Azerbaijan will be able to completely cover its internal need for the food grain," said the Minister.
