Georgia’s External Debt as for 31 July Released

Georgia, Tbilisi, 3 September / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ As for 31 July, 2008, Georgia's state external debt and a total of the credits under state guarantee comprised $2,373,410,000.

According to Georgian Finance Ministry, the remainder of the debt to bilateral creditors totalled $537,759,000, including Austria - $1,744,000, Azerbaijan - $14,427,000, Turkmenistan - $1,611,000, Turkey - $44,701,000, Iran - $11,319,000, Russia - $119,988,000, Armenia - $17,420,000, Uzbekistan - $378,000, Ukraine - $345,000, Kazakhstan - $27,774,000, China - $4,389,000, Germany - $181,394,000, Japan - $49,083,000, Kuwait - $14,044,000, Netherlands - $9,296,000, United States - $39,835,000.

State securities:

Eurobonds - $500,000;

Remainder of the debts to international institutions - $1,323,299,000, including:

World Bank, International Development Association - $955,095,000;

European Union - $89,721,000;

International Fund for Agricultural Development - $13,055,000;

International Monetary Fund - $235,931,000;

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - $29,498,000.

Remainder of the credits under state guarantee totalled $12,352,000, including:

Germany - 4,452,000;

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - $7,900,000.
