Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 October/ Trend , corr U. Ismayilova/ Azerbaijanїs admission to World Trade Organization (WTO) will crate favorable conditions for the development of small businesses, Anne Derse, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan said.
ї US government and NGOs are prepared to share experience and support forming of strong economy involving small businesses in Azerbaijan,ї Derse said on 7 October.
Creating efficient conditions for the development of small business in Azerbaijan should be an important task of the government, she said.
їUS supports and watches closely all reforms in Azerbaijan. Introduction of їsingle windowї system in Azerbaijan and realization electronic tax accounts provides favorable conditions for conduct of business,ї US Ambassador said.
US diplomat added that US encourages reforms of the Azerbaijani government to secure transparent and independent judicial system.
їAll these create favorable conditions for the conduct of business both in a regional and global level,ї Derse said.
The key requirement of WTO member states is the liberalization of different markets, but Azerbaijan seeks to retain safety elements for domestic market in 8 to 10 sector of economy including banking, insurance, telecommunications and power engineering markets.
The national legislation is expected to be brought into conformity with WTO requirements under presidential decree of 2 August 2006. Under this decree, respective bodies will work out 40 legislative acts with 16 of them being draft laws.
