Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 October / Trend corr. E.Ismayilov / Opening of a new subway station `Nasimiї of the Baku Metro will take place in the Azerbaijani capital city on 9 October, the Metro said.
The new station is located in territory of the sixth and ninth micro-districts of Baku.
The Baku metro functions since 1967 (from Icheri Sheher station to Nariman Narimanov station with three intermediate stations). Seven stations of the Baku metro, including Icheri Sheher, Sahil, 28 May, Jafar Jabbarli, Khatai, Nizami and Elmler Akademiyasi, are deep-laid stations, Bakmil ї surface and the rest ї shallow-laid (altogether 20 stations).
