Georgia Informs Potential US Investors of Its Investment Opportunities

Georgia, Tbilisi, 13 October/ Trend , corr N. Kirtskhalia/ It is important to hold meetings with investors under the condition of current economic crisis, Vladimir Gurgenidze, Georgian Prime Minister said after the meeting within the conference of JP Morgan investors in New York.

їOf course, we understand that the inflow of investments will not be much as this or last year due to the economic crisis. But, still work should be carried out in this direction,ї he said.

Nearly $1.7bln has been invested in Georgia in 2008 and almost the same sun in 2007, Prime Minister said.

A total of 150 investors who have already invested in Georgia and potential investors took part in the meeting.

The organizers of the forum said everybody was thoroughly informed about Georgiaїs investment opportunities and it is up to them to invest in Georgian market in 2009.
