Almost 65% of All Investments Allocated for Non-Oil Sector in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 October / Trend  corr. N.Ismayilova / Nearly AZN 6,283mln was invested in the economy of Azerbaijan for nine months in 2008, an increase of 38% from the figures of the last year. The private enterprises and organizations invested AZN 2339.5mln (37.2 %) and State organization - AZN 3943.5 mln (62.8%).

The investments for the repair and construction works amounted to AZN 4089.3 mln, an increase of 55%. AZN 4715.6 mln (75%) have been invested in the production facilities and AZN 1567.4 mln (25%) - non-production facilities.

The specific gravity of foreign investments makes up 27.5% or AZN 1 727.6 mln. Some 72.5 % AZN 4555.4mln) fell on domestic investments which increased by 11.8 % in January-September 2008.

Most part of domestic investments (83.5%) fell in state enterprises and organizations and only 16.5% - in private enterprises.

AZN 2085.8mln was allocated for the oil sector (33.2%) and AZN 4197.2 mln (66.8%) - non-oil sector. The investments for the non-oil sector increased by 96.1% as compared to the same period of 2007.

Some 45.2 % was invested in development of industry spheres, 3.6 % - agriculture, 0.4% - trade and services, 23.8% -transport, 1.7% - communication, 7.5% -construction of buildings, 4.1% - education, 2.7% - health care and 11% - other sphere.

Some AZN 2,794,7 mln was invested in fixed capital through enterprises and organizations, AZN 248 mln (3.9%) - bank credits, AZN 2,621,2 mln (41.7%) - budget, AZN 417mln (6.6%)- off-budget, AZN 198 mln (3.2%) - private budget of population and AZN 4.1mln (0.1%) - other budgets.
