Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 November / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ In January to October, 2008, the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred AZN 935.55mln to the public budget, SCC said.
As a result of ten months, the tax and custom transfers by AZN 92.13mln exceeded the figure of the same period of 2007. The Customs authority fulfilled the forecast by 100.38%.
Due to increase in the export of oil and gas, Azerbaijan's total export increased by 802.96% in January to September, or by $34.7bln as compared to the same period of 2007. Export totalled $38.9bln.
In that period, Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with 136 countries. A total of 1,800 varieties of goods were exported from the country and 5,500 varieties were imported.
