Georgian National Bank Monetary Reserves Decline to $90mln

Georgia, Tbilisi, 12 November/ Trend , corr. N.Kirtskhalia /International monetary reserves of the Georgian national Bank (GNB) declined to $89mln since the beginning of the year, a source from GNB said.

As for 31 October 2008, GNB reserves made up $ 1272.1mln.

International reserves converted into foreign currency amount to $1,271.3mln; including those placed in securities - $544.4mln, and accounts of foreign banks and the International Monetary Fund is $726.9mln.

The amount of money placed in the SDR, is 800,000 lari, and a standby position of the IMF is $14.9mln lari.

The maximum rate of international reserves of National Bank of Georgia was marked on 30 April 2008, when they reached $1910.3mln, the minimum on 31 August 2008 - $1122.9mln
