Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 November / Trend , corr. N.Ismayilova /Azerbaijan Tax Ministry adopted a strategic plan to improve tax laws and administration in 2009-2012, the concept to empower information and communication technologies to improve tax administration and the strategic directions concept of improving tax legislation. These documents are approved by the Tax Minister Fazil Mammadov on 3 November 2008.
The document's object is to make Azerbaijan's tax legislation close to the requirements of the EU, as well as to provide pure and transparent tax legislation, create tax environment with an aim to attract investments.
The concept to introduce an electron audit in Azerbaijan aimed at prevention of tax evasion and form tax administration, like it has happened with small risks.
Tax Ministry intends to estimate the introduction of software (ACL, IDEA and SESAM) in Azerbaijan, as well as to study the experience to introduce an electron audit. The implementation of the process is scheduled for 2009-2012.
In 2009- 2010, a data basis is expected to be created to audit all types of economic activity.
Trainings for employees of tax agencies are expected to be held since 2009.
