Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 November / Trend , corr. I.Khalilova /"Labor and Social Protection Ministry of Azerbaijan strengthens supervision over the public address social assistance system through automation," said the deputy Labor and Social Protection Minister Ilgar Rahimov.
"Today we have a full control over all of local departments of the Ministry, as well as data on each person is recorded into a computer. Over 200,000 personnel files also introduced into the to the data," Rahimov said.
According to Rahimov, the structure of social protection centers in the regions will be improved under a new social project developed jointly with the World Bank. The idea is to divide responsibilities between the inspectors who receive statements from people appealed to the Center for assistance, and staff, which inspect property and social situation of citizens
"This will increase the transparency and collective nature of the system and will attract more number of people to the process," Rahimov said.
The sum of the address social assistance will be increased from AZN 55 to AZN 60 since 2009. In addition, the number of families to receive the social assistance is also expected to expand to 190,000. By the end of 2008, their number will be brought to 160,000, while the number touched only 40,000 families to the beginning of the process.
Approximately AZN100 accounts per a family which consists of in average of 4.6 persons.
Under the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, initially the sum of the address social assistance system was fixed at AZN 30 rate.
