Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 November / Trend , corr. A.Badalova /"Realization of the necessity to cooperate to fight the global financial crisis by participant-countries at the Anti-crisis summit in Washington is a positive result," Dmitri Pankin, the Russian deputy Finance Minister, said at the press-conference, which were broadcasted by the Vesti channel.
"We understood that we can listen to arguments and make a compromise, despite there were different estimations and approaches," Panki said.
The main result of the summit was, according to the deputy minister, the joint declaration.
One of the relevant issues of the declaration was to define the reason of the crisis. "In contrary to the American version, where the main reason was called risks, the joint document indicates non-coordinated macroeconomic policy as the key factor of the crisis," Pankin said.
Another key issue was the measures that were necessary to take to overcome the crisis. The measures taken in the monetary policy were insufficient.
"Decline of percentage rates does not give an economic effect any more. Measures on fiscal policy are necessary to take," Pankin said.
