Base Index of Consumer Prices Surpass Inflation Growth Rates by 1.3%

Azerbaijan, Baku, November 17/ Trend , corr N. Ismayilova/ In October, prices for the consumer goods and tariffs increased by 0.8% as compared to September. The food prices increased by 21.6% from January to October, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Inn October, the prices of foods increased by 1%, non-foods increased by 1.1% and tariffs and services - by 0.1%.

In October to January, the food prices rose by 30% as compared to 2007. The prices of non-food products increased 11.5%. The service prices rose by 11.6%.

In October, the base index of the consumer prices incurring seasonal changes (fruits and vegetable) and being regulated by the Government made up 100.7% as compared to the previous month, and 122.9% to the same period of the last year.
