U.Ismayilova /"The global financial crisis will directly or indirectly affect Azerbaijan's economy," Fizuli Alakparov, the Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection Minister, said at the press-conference. The press-conference took place after the meeting with Swiss Employment Minister Sven Otto Littorin.
"There is enough amounts of funds in the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) to support banks and other financial spheres of economy in Azerbaijan during the global financial crisis and to overcome the situation with minimal damage," the minister said.
According to Alakparov, the discussed projects of 2009 public budget and macroeconomic indexes in the Parliament were forecasted on the high rate. At present, Azerbaijan pays more attention on the development of its infrastructure. State investments for this purpose will be dramatically increased in 2009. The dramatic increase of state expenses, according to Alakparov, is observed in the social sphere of the economy.
