Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 November / Trend corr. I.Khalilova/A new deputy executive director of the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund (NESF), who will temporarily fulfill duties of the director of the Fund, was appointed at the Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev's decision, competent sources at the government said on 18 November. Shirzad Abdullayev, who earlier was the deputy director of the juridical department of the National Bank of Azerbaijan, was appointed acting director of the NESF.
The Ministry of Economic Development confirmed the data on appointment.
Abdullayev is Doctor of Economic Sciences.
"He described himself as an experienced worker in this field," the government said. Changes in staff took place at the Ministry of Economic Development after new minister's appointment at the beginning of November (earlier Heydar Babayev occupied this position). In accordance with Mustafayev's decision, acting director of State Antimonopoly Service at the Ministry of Economic Development Elchin Zeynalov, acting director of the State Supervision Service for consumer market Aslan Jafarov and executive director of the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund Khalig Mammadov were dismissed.
Their former deputies fulfill their duties at the state services.
The Minister of Economic Development explained the abovementioned officials' dismissal with shortages in their activities. Inspections will be held in connection with revealed shortages. Further activity of these bodies will be built on the base of support for development of entrepreneurship, but not prevent their activities.
