Azerbaijan, Baku, November 18/ Trend , corr U. Ismayilova/ The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev will attend 2nd All Republic Scientific Practical Conference entitled Tourism and Recreation: Problems and Prospect, Ministry said.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan together with the Institute of Tourism.
The conference will focus on theory and practical importance of tourism and recreation resources; tourism market: current situation, security, prospects of development; recreation resources and regional peculiarities of development of tourism.
In Q1 of 2008 as a result of expansion of tourist business in Azerbaijan, the revenues of tourism companies of Azerbaijan increased by 10.8% to AZN 7.9mln. About 78.5% of revenues (AZN 6.2mln) came from tourism services and AZN 548,600 from out-budget funds. About 99.6% of total revenues account for non-governmental and 0.4% from governmental agencies.
