Azerbaijani International Bank Leads List of Stock Exchange Market in November

Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 December / Trend /The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) leaded the list of five banks-leaders of currency market due to the number of signed deals (52.91%) in the result of auction in the currency section of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICE) in November.

Other banks-leaders in the currency market are UniBank (13), ASB share-commercial bank - 12.8%, Bank Respublika - 11.25% and Yapi Credi Bank Azerbaijan - 6.04%.

The deals signed by the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) were not taken into account.

A total of 14 banks participated in auction of the BBVB currency section in November. In November, 40 auction sessions were carried out in the stock exchange electronic system and 48 deals were registered. The volume of auctions in the currency section in November was AZN 64.13mln, or $79.33mln. In the comparison with the indices of October the volume of auctions in the currency section proved to be less by 72.28%. The average volume of each transaction in November fell from $2.75mln to $1.65mln.

The exchange quotation of national currency in the November rose by 0.22% - from 0,8092 to 0,8074 for 1 USD. As a result the weighted mean course of with respect to the US dollar composed in November 0,8084 for 1 USD, whereas on the sums of October it was equal to 0,8094. Since the beginning of the year the weighted mean exchange quotation of to the US dollar grew by 4.4%.

On 2 December, the official currency rate is 0.8094 AZN/USD.
