Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 16 / Trend , I.Khalilova/ On Dec. 16, the Azerbaijani Parliament ratified intergovernmental convention on Double tax avoidance concerning incomes and properties, as well as elimination of tax evasion and a Protocol on it with the Netherlands Kingdom.
The agreement in Azerbaijan concerns income tax of juridical figures, income tax of individuals, tax on property and in the Netherlands - income tax, tax on labor, tax from enterprises, held from pure income (taking into consideration part of government) from development of natural resources and tax from dividends.
The Protocol and Convention were inked in Baku on Sept. 22. The Convention covers five years.
The same agreement has come into effect with Switzerland since Jan. 1 in 2008 and will come to power with Tajikistan and Qatar in 2009. So far, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has signed agreements on double tax avoidance with 25 countries.
