Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 17/ Trend , Z. Novosvitski/ Today the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) decided to grant $50mln loan to Ukreksimbank (Ukrainian export and import bank), Ukrainian bank said.
This loan is a continuation to financing carried out within the energy efficiency program in Ukraine. Ukreksimbank has been involved in implementation of this project since April 2007.
Ukreksimbank is lending financial institution with 100% state-owned capital.
As of Oct. 1, assets of the bank totaled 34.713 hryvnia (one dollar - 7.7383 hryvnia), liabilities - 31.316bln hryvnia, capital - 3.396bln hryvnia, and authorized capital stock - 2.063bln hryvnia.
Net income of Ukreksimbank totaled 508.81 hryvnia in nine months of 2008.
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is the largest financial investor in Ukraine. As of November, it decided to grant €3.97bln for more than 163 projects.
