25,000 tons of citruses exported from Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 22 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia/ Harvest of citrus fruits in Adjara totalled 45,000 tons, of which 25,000 tons were exported and the remainder will be sold in the domestic market, Minister for Agriculture Bakur Kvezereli said on Dec. 22. According to Kvezereli, enterprises collecting non-standard tangerine varieties will operate in Adjara from Dec. 25.

"A total of 25,000 tons of citrus fruits has been exported, and that is more than half of our crop. The process is underway and another several thousand tons of citrus fruits will be put for export by the end of the year," minister said.
