Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 25 / Trend , E.Ismayilov /Baku Subway plans to receive the Russian Metrovagonmash-made 11 carriages until the end of the year.
The date of delivery of carriages to Azerbaijan depends on the state of railway roads in Russia. The Subway administration takes efforts the carriages to be delivered to the country until the end of the year.
If the carriages will be managed to deliver to the country to the fixed date they will be put into operation in 2009.
Azerbaijan Railway purchases carriages from the Russian Metrovagonmash (enters in the composition of Transmashholding CJSC) company within the achieved contract between the countries. Under the contract, 81-717.5B and 81-714.5B carriages will be delivered to Azerbaijan.
In spring, the Baku Subway received 10 carriages and other ten carriages were delivered to the country in autumn. Later, additional five carriages were purchased.
The previous lots of carriages in Azerbaijan were implemented in 2007. Then Baku Subway purchased 25 carriages.
Mitishchin plant provides Baku Subway with carriages for almost thirty years.
