State support to privatized enterprises may be continued in 2009

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 29 / Trend , N.Ismayilova/ "Azerbaijani consulting company Finre Consulting expects continuation of arrangements to support privatized enterprises at state level," CEO of Finre Conculting Faig Abbasov said on Dec. 29.

"Development of entrepreneurship is one of the leading directions in the state's policy which is intended to provide positive development. Arrangements to support entrepreneurship are envisaged in the public budget of next year. Correspondingly, state support may cover privatized enterprises as well," said Abbasov.

Starting from August 2007, Finre Consulting was involved in implementation of a project on agricultural processing consulting services through state support to several privatized companies in Azerbaijan. It was the State Committee for State Property Management to initiate the project.

The main goal of the project is to provide consulting services to companies to form strategic and business plans, to introduce book-keeping and fiscal accounting in line with international standards, corporate governance, as well as to improve market policy and to render recommendations to acquire quality certificates. The project was accompanied with trainings, as well as practice in analogical overseas companies which enjoy advanced agricultural processing practice.
